At Venture Backed, we believe that real change happens when opportunities are shared, voices are amplified, and barriers are broken.
Our mission is to empower underrepresented communities, nurture innovation, and foster leadership in the venture capital world.

The Presidents’ Cocktail Party was a powerful gathering of university leaders, where we discussed innovative ways to enhance entrepreneurship education. Together with these presidents, we explored how to increase hands-on learning opportunities through internships and incubators, while ensuring students have access to mentorship and networking.
The event fostered collaboration and reinforced our shared commitment to preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs for success.
HBCU Scholars’ Night was more than just an event—it was a chance to elevate the dreams of students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We brought together scholars, investors, and industry leaders to create meaningful connections, offer mentorship, and open doors that might otherwise have remained closed.
For us, it was about creating real, lasting opportunities for those who deserve a seat at the table but may have been overlooked.

“We are grateful to the White House Initiative for giving us the chance to mark 10 years of promoting equity and entrepreneurship with HBCU scholars. We had a great time with virtual reality gaming provided by IGIVU, a mini mural art activity, and a volunteer activity where we put together gift packages of STEM educational toys for elementary students at the West Philly YMCA. TeamBonding organized the activities, and we enjoyed background music from DJ Miles.
We are excited about the prospect of expanding our events in 2025!
